Trainer Oskar ter Mors:
Oskar ter Mors is a HEMA-instructor, -scholar and part time Landsknecht based in The Hague, NL. Although he is a jack of all blades, he specialises in the Langes Messer, which he likes to approach as a modern fencing discipline with strong historical roots.
Workshop:
Few weapons inspire awe in the same way a sword in two hands does. We all want to feel like Aragorn or Geralt, don't we? Studying the greatsword can be a bit tricky though, as the barrier to entry can be quite high.
In this workshop, we'll cover some of the basics of fighting with two-handed swords, as well as what we can learn from late 15th and early 16th century greatsword sources to help understand the more common longsword fencing better.
